Strategies to Increase Student Physical Activity

WI and CDC are promoting schools to implement the CORE FOUR strategies to increase physical activity levels among students. These strategies include:

  1. increasing the number of minutes that students are active with an elevated heart rate in PE class,
  2. organized activities during recess,
  3. before and after school opportunities, and
  4. classroom activity breaks.
